Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One baby was strapped on my back as another crawled around in the playpen. I stayed up all night days over months of sanding, and removing wallpaper, with one child. Ha! We were getting close to finishing, but the project was still a way off. In order to furnish the house it would take a lot of effort with regards to time and money. I would also have go to my favorite stores. To keep the budget in check, I started going to estate sales along with my three brothers to search for diamonds in the rough. Each week we would spend Thursday to Saturday at garage sales and estate sales buying brand new furniture. Then I painted and sanded the driveway throughout the week. It was a bit like it... This is where my passion for the restoration of furniture first began. Even though the house was fully furnished, I could not stop. There was a market in the area for me to sell pieces. I could outgrow my space because I owned many more pieces than I was able to use. At home, I would host open houses, where over 1,000 people were able to come in and purchase any product they wanted from the first floor over the course of a weekend. Growing Days was created in the home. Growing Days was more than an incredibly successful business, but it was also a loving family. As a young mom I was able to find the perfect balance to both start my own business and also being a decent mother. Growing Days just seemed to work. In 2013, my lovely daughter Nora came along our 4th kiddo. It was a great direction for my company, however I was also in need of a vacation. I decided to slow down and spend some time at home, spending time with my children. This was precisely what I needed at that moment. After a few minutes, my phone began to ring. They were asking for my help in interior decoration as well as renovations. A majority of them visited my home at my open house for furniture. While I was working I began adding customers to my client list one by one. However, it didn't take that long before I was managing many clients and operated a successful home remodeling business. Most likely, I would have laughed if somebody had informed me that my venture was going to be the basis for an upcoming television show in the DIY Network. In fact, I do laugh when I think about it.
